Thatcher Pass Retreat
Built into a rugged hillside overlooking Thatcher Pass, this secluded island family retreat includes a spacious main house and fully equipped guest accommodations. The two buildings pair well and are adjoined by simple walkways. Facing the water, the north side of the main house features a floor to ceiling glass wall, integrating interior and exterior elements. One of the biggest challenges for a remote building site such as this is ensuring safe delivery of valuable finish materials. This home was designed by Seattle based architects Miller Hull Partnership.
